HRE Performance Wheels 305

Five broad spokes over a riveted polished lip

Five spokes, and they are properly broad - each one leaves the hub wide, twists a few degrees and ends blunt against the bolt ring. That leaves five large triangular openings, which is about as open as a road wheel gets. The three-piece build wraps the whole face in a ring of rivets and a stepped polished lip, so there is a hard bright boundary around all that space.

A face this simple puts the wrap color to work. With nothing intricate to look at, what you notice is the shape of the car through the windows and the color reflected off the spoke faces. It is also the easiest Classic design to read from across a parking lot, which matters more than people expect when they are picking a wheel from photographs.

Classic, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Muscle-era shapes and broad-shouldered coupes, and it suits saturated colors - deep reds, yellows, bright blues - that fill those big windows. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 305 come in?

18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Seen in brushed clear, gloss silver, satin charcoal and satin black, almost always against a polished clear lip.

Will the 305 fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
