HRE Performance Wheels 301

Mesh at the hub, straight bars at the rim

This is the design people mistake for the 300, and the difference is easy to see once you know where to look. On the 301 the crossing happens close to the center; from there each spoke straightens and runs to the rim with parallel sides. The result is a small knot of mesh at the hub and long, clean slot windows around the outside, held by the usual riveted three-piece lip.

Practically, that means the 301 shows more of what is behind it than the 300 does. Big calipers read clearly through those outer slots, and so does the color of the inner barrel. If you are deciding between the two, load the same car twice and watch the outer third of the wheel - that is where the entire argument lives.

Classic, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Sedans and grand tourers with brakes worth seeing, and wraps in mid-tone metallics that keep the slots from going black. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 301 come in?

18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Shown in brushed clear, gloss silver and satin black, sometimes with a polished bronze lip against a dark face.

Will the 301 fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
