HRE Performance Wheels 505

Five flat spokes with darker inset panels

The five spokes are wide and flat, and each one carries a recessed panel finished darker than the surrounding metal. That two-tone treatment gives the face a graphic quality - bright outlines around dark shapes - which is unusual here, since most designs rely on shadow rather than on an actual change of color. The dish behind it is very deep.

Two-tone faces make a wheel look smaller and a dish look bigger, because the eye reads the bright outline as the edge of the spoke rather than the whole spoke. On a lowered car with a lot of barrel showing, that is exactly the effect you want, and it is easiest to judge from a three-quarter view.

Vintage, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Lowered classics and 1990s performance cars, and light wraps where a bright face and a chrome dish both stay visible. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 505 come in?

18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Reference builds include gloss silver, brushed clear, polished clear, satin black and satin black over gloss black.

Will the 505 fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
