HRE Performance Wheels P161SC

The blunt Y star, dished

Thick arms and a deep dish is an aggressive combination. The forks still open wide near the rim and the bar across each one is still there, but the whole face now drops away behind the spoke tips, so the wheel has mass at the outside and shadow in the middle. It looks considerably larger than the flat P161 at the same diameter.

The size list stays short - 18, 20 and 22 - so the same caveat applies as on the standard car. Where it fits, the extra depth makes a real difference on a lowered build, because a dished wheel photographs better from a low angle than a flat one does, and most people shoot cars from about knee height.

Series P, forged monoblok, offered in 18", 20", 22". Lowered coupes and wide-body builds, and matte or satin wraps where a deep, blunt wheel does the visual work. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE P161SC come in?

18", 20", 22". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged monoblok, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Photographed in brushed clear, satin black and satin bronze, run as one tone across face and barrel.

Will the P161SC fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
