HRE Performance Wheels 540C

Same mesh, set deeper behind a taller step

Put the two together and the mesh is identical - the same crossings, the same diamond windows. What differs is where the face sits. In HRE's photos the 540C face is set deeper, so the polished band between the spoke tips and the outer edge is noticeably wider and the riveted ring reads as a larger circle inside a larger circle.

That extra bright area changes the balance of the wheel. The mesh becomes the inner detail and the lip becomes the dominant shape, which is a good outcome on a large diameter where a fine mesh alone can look undersized. It is a subtle difference in a catalog photograph and a much clearer one across a whole car.

Series 5, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Big coupes and full-size sedans on 22s and above, and dark wraps that let a wide polished band define the wheel. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 540C come in?

18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Shown with brushed clear, frozen gold, frozen dark clear and gloss black faces, most of them against a bright polished lip.

Will the 540C fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
