HRE Performance Wheels 521M

Open forked face, deepest dish of the four

Forged whole, the 521 face loses its bolt ring and gains depth. The arms fork the same way, but each branch curves back as it travels out, so from the side the whole face is a shallow dish rather than a flat plate. That is the detail worth looking for in the renders, because it only appears at three-quarter angles and disappears in a straight-on shot.

One color across the wheel and a lot of open air between the branches makes this a quiet design despite the sculpture. HRE photographs it in frozen polished finishes, which catch the curve of each spoke and give the face a gradient from hub to tip that a flat paint cannot produce.

Series 5, forged monoblok, offered in 17", 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Wide-arch coupes and supercars, and deep gloss or frozen-polished wraps where a dished wheel picks up the body color as it turns. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 521M come in?

17", 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged monoblok, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. The reference set runs frozen polished bronze, frozen polished champagne, frozen polished clear, gloss white and brushed dark clear.

Will the 521M fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
