HRE Performance Wheels 528

Five arms, each fanning into three spokes

Look at the hub and you see a five-point star; look at the rim and you see a ring of slim spokes. The connection is that each of the five arms fans out into three spokes, which is why the face manages to be both structured and busy. Narrow slots separate the groups, and a machined outer band closes the pattern off.

This is a face that changes completely with viewing distance. Close up it is a set of triplets; from twenty feet it is a fine multi-spoke. That behavior is hard to judge from a wheel catalog and easy to judge from a render of a whole car, which is really the argument for looking at it here first.

Series 5, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Sports sedans and fastbacks, and light wraps where the slots between each group of three stay open rather than filling with shadow. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE 528 come in?

18", 19", 20", 21", 22", 23", 24". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Shown in gloss silver, gloss white, brushed clear and frozen polished bronze, most with a polished clear lip.

Will the 528 fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
