HRE Performance Wheels R161-Lightweight

The Y star with deep scalloped undercuts

The outline is the familiar Y star - five arms, each opening into a wide fork near the rim - but the sections are carved rather than solid. Deep scallops run along the sides of every spoke, so the face catches light on the ridges and holds shadow in the hollows. In gloss anthracite that contrast is the entire visual effect.

This one comes in three diameters only, 19 through 21, which is a narrow range even by racing standards. On a car with a wide arch the chunky forks fill the space convincingly, and because the finish is gloss rather than matte, the wheel keeps some shine without needing a polished lip to provide it.

Series R, forged monoblok, offered in 19", 20", 21". Wide-body track cars and mid-engine sports cars, and matte or satin wraps that contrast against a glossy dark wheel. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE R161-Lightweight come in?

19", 20", 21". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged monoblok, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Shown in gloss black and gloss anthracite, plus brushed clear, frozen polished gold and a frozen electric blue build.

Will the R161-Lightweight fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
