HRE Performance Wheels R101-Lightweight

Thin split Y spokes, sharp edges, no fat

Everything here looks like it has been cut back to the minimum. Five arms split into thin Y-shaped spokes with hard machined edges instead of rounded ones, the face sits almost flat against the barrel, and there is no lip, no rivet ring and no sculpting. It is a wheel that looks engineered rather than styled.

The 17 to 22 inch range is unusually wide at the small end for a modern design, which puts it within reach of older track cars as well as current ones. Against a bright wrap the thin dark spokes almost disappear, leaving the arch looking empty in a way that some people love and others really do not.

Series R, forged monoblok, offered in 17", 18", 19", 20", 21", 22". Track and time-attack builds, and loud graphic or single-color wraps that want the wheel to read as pure structure. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE R101-Lightweight come in?

17", 18", 19", 20", 21", 22". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged monoblok, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Reference builds include satin black, gloss black, brushed clear, brushed dark clear and frozen champagne.

Will the R101-Lightweight fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
