HRE Performance Wheels HD188H

The HD188 face, minus the bump ring

Side by side the spokes are identical and so is the ring of exposed fasteners around the center pad. The difference sits at the outer edge: where the HD188 carries a row of raised oval bumps, the HD188H leaves that band smooth. On a gloss black wheel that smooth edge reads as a clean dark circle rather than a machined rim.

It is a small change with a clear effect. Without the bumps the wheel loses its overt utility-vehicle styling cue and starts looking like a large, simple eight-spoke, which suits a lifted truck that has been wrapped in something serious. Both versions come in 20 and 22 inch only, so the choice really is just this detail.

Series HD, forged 2-piece fmr, offered in 20", 22". Blacked-out trucks and large SUVs, and gloss or satin dark wraps where a smooth-edged black wheel keeps the whole stance monolithic. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE HD188H come in?

20", 22". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 2-piece fmr, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Photographed in satin black over a gloss black barrel, the treatment HRE uses for its darkest truck builds.

Will the HD188H fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
