HRE Performance Wheels C109

Fine paired spokes, chrome lip, small diameters

Slim spokes, set in close pairs, converging on a small center pad with the bolt bosses left visible. The density is high enough that the face reads as texture at any distance beyond a few feet, and the riveted chrome band around it gives that texture a hard boundary. It is the most traditional-looking wheel in the C1 set.

A fine face on a small wheel is a specific look, and it either matches the car or it obviously does not. What it will not do is hide road dirt, so a light bronze or clear finish here wants washing more often than a satin black one. Worth factoring in before you settle on a color.

Series C, forged 3-piece, offered in 18", 19", 20". 1990s and 2000s Japanese and German performance cars on 18s, and dark or metallic wraps that let a bright face stand out. We've rendered it on 231 cars so far — same studio frame each time, wheel swapped in place.

Questions, answered

What sizes does the HRE C109 come in?

18", 19", 20". Diameter shown; width and offset are specified at order. It is forged 3-piece, so the wheel is machined for the car rather than picked off a shelf. Reference builds run satin bronze, satin black, frozen dark clear, frozen champagne and a fluorescent yellow, all over a chrome lip.

Will the C109 fit my car?

Almost certainly. Nothing in this set is cast — every wheel is forged to order, so width, offset, bolt pattern and centre bore are specified when you place the order. The variable that matters visually is diameter, and that is what these renders show.

Are these photos or renders?

Renders, and deliberately so. Each car is rendered once per wheel in the same studio frame, so the only thing that changes between two images is the wheel itself. A photo set shot in different places and different light can't give you that comparison.
