Zeno alternative

Zeno by xix3D is desktop software for Windows and Mac at $18, $144 or $225 a month, and is the better buy if you design printed wraps or quote PPF, tints and wheels; WrapConfigurator is $49.99/mo and is the better buy if what you actually need is a branded configurator on your own website that captures the lead.

xix3D pricing, as published

Three tiers, checked against xix3d.com in August 2026. Starter is $18/mo: 5 renders a month, 20 vehicles, one vinyl brand of your choice, all environments, a limited Design Studio. Pro is $144/mo: 50 renders a month, 1,500+ vehicles with 30+ added monthly, 2,100+ vinyl and PPF options across 17 brands, wheels, body kits and stance, the full Design Studio, vector and raster import, print-and-cut-ready export, white-label with your logo, 1,000+ free vector decals and a one-to-one onboarding call. Unlimited is $225/mo: everything in Pro, unlimited renders, up to three devices, early access.

Three details do most of the work in this comparison. First, the render allowance is per month and it's low on the cheaper tiers — 5 on Starter, 50 on Pro, and unmetered only on the $225 plan. Second, Zeno's white-label means your logo on the output: rendered images, 360-degree interactive links, spec-sheet PDFs. It's your staff producing client-facing deliverables, not a self-serve configurator sitting on your domain. Third, Zeno is a desktop application — Windows or Mac, installed on the machine, with published hardware requirements — and its material describes no browser version and no way to put it on your own site. One clarification, because it's easy to get wrong: xix3D the studio does build embedded on-site visualizers, but as commissioned projects for manufacturers and OEMs — its partner page shows one built for Avery Dennison. Zeno, the product you can subscribe to, isn't that.

Where Zeno genuinely wins

Catalog. 1,500+ vehicles with 30+ added every month against our 250+, and 2,100+ vinyl and PPF options across 17 brands against our 348 color-change films from 3M, Avery Dennison and KPMF. If the car in your bay isn't in a catalog, the catalog is worthless — and theirs is far more likely to have it.

Scope. Zeno covers PPF, tints, wheels, stance and body kits alongside wrap. Our configurator is built for color-change vinyl. If your quotes routinely include paint protection or tint, that's one tool versus two.

Design. There's a full Design Studio, vector and raster import, a 1,000+ vector decal library and print-and-cut-ready export. We have none of that and no plans to build it. A shop doing printed commercial wraps needs a design tool, and Zeno is one.

If any single line above is on your requirements list, stop reading — buy Zeno. This page isn't going to argue you out of a tool that does a job we don't do.

Where WrapConfigurator wins

It's on your website, not your laptop — and that is literal: Zeno installs on a Windows or Mac machine, ours runs in your customer's browser on your own domain. Your customer configures his own car at midnight, on his phone, without a human, and the quote request lands with the car, the finish, the film code, the timeline and the paint condition already attached. Zeno's published material describes no lead capture from your own website; it's built to help you present to a prospect you're already speaking to.

It's cheaper than the tier that matters. $49.99/mo against $144 for Pro or $225 for Unlimited. Starter's $18 is cheaper than both, but 20 vehicles and 5 renders a month is a demo, not a shop tool.

It's a flat fee, not a render allowance. Zeno meters renders — 5 a month on Starter, 50 on Pro, unmetered only at $225. If you put a configurator on a public website you can't control how many renders your visitors generate, so a monthly cap is a strange shape for that job. Ours is priced flat, and the renders your visitors look at are already made.

Leads are exclusive. One shop per lead, never resold to five, and junk leads are credited back. That's a different product from a visualizer — it's the reason to run a configurator on your own site at all.

Metered exports vs a pre-rendered catalog

Zeno's output, as published, is something you generate and export: 4K images and videos in one click, 360-degree interactive links, spec-sheet PDFs and print-and-cut files — all produced in the desktop app, and metered on the two cheaper tiers. That shape fits a designer building deliverables for a client who is already in the conversation.

Ours are pre-rendered. Every car-and-film pair is rendered offline from the real film's appearance and served as an image, so it's about as close to the physical roll as a screen gets and it loads instantly on a phone — which matters when the person looking is a customer on mobile, not a designer at a workstation.

The cost of our approach is real and you should hear it plainly: fixed camera angles, no free spin, no decal placement, and if a car or film isn't in the catalog it doesn't exist. Theirs costs you a desktop install and, below $225, a monthly render allowance. Pick the trade that matches who's looking at the screen.

Looking for a 3D Changer alternative?

3D Changer is 148 euro (about $176) as a one-time purchase with no subscription, 400+ vehicle models, and white-label branding on your designs. It's a desktop download that wants a dedicated GPU and 8GB of RAM on Windows, or a 16GB Apple Silicon Mac. Nothing in its published material covers embedding on your site or capturing leads.

People leave it for one of two reasons. Either the library ran out — 400 models is a quarter of Zeno's — or they realized a tool sitting on the back-office machines never touches the website where their customers actually are.

People stay for one very good reason: it's paid for. If you own it and it covers your cars, keep using it. The only question worth asking is whether a recurring bill buys you something it structurally can't — a Design Studio and print output (Zeno), or a configurator and leads on your own domain (us). If neither, don't switch.

The decision rule, in three lines

You design and print wraps, or you quote PPF, tints and wheels: Zeno Pro at $144/mo. It isn't close.

Your website gets traffic and produces no inquiries, and you want the color choice to arrive as a booked consult: a branded embed on your own domain, $49.99/mo.

You need both jobs done: run both. They overlap barely at all, and plenty of shops should. Anyone telling you one tool covers design, PPF, tint, wheels, your website and your lead flow is selling.

What switching actually involves

Nothing about your design software changes — if you use Illustrator, Flexi or CorelDRAW to make print files, you keep using them either way.

On our side: create an account, get listed in the installer directory for free, and if you want the configurator on your own site, paste one embed snippet. It runs on WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or hand-written HTML, themed to your brand and locked to your domain. Setup is a couple of minutes and you can cancel anytime.

One thing to check before you pay anybody, us included: open the catalog and look for the five cars you wrap most. If they're not there, no amount of render quality fixes it. What's included at each price, and what the embed actually does once it's on your site, is linked under Keep reading just below.

Questions, answered

How much does Zeno by xix3D cost?

Zeno is desktop software for Windows and Mac. Published pricing in August 2026 is $18/mo (Starter — 5 renders, 20 vehicles, one vinyl brand), $144/mo (Pro — 50 renders, 1,500+ vehicles, 2,100+ vinyl and PPF options, full Design Studio, print-and-cut export, white-label) and $225/mo (Unlimited — unlimited renders, up to three devices). Check their site before buying; vendors change pricing.

Is WrapConfigurator cheaper than Zeno?

Cheaper than the tiers most shops would actually buy: $49.99/mo against $144 or $225. Zeno's $18 Starter is cheaper than us, but it's capped at 20 vehicles, 5 renders a month and a single vinyl brand — it isn't the same product.

Does Zeno capture leads from my website?

Not that we can find in its published material. It is a desktop application, and its white-label is described as your logo on renders, 360-degree interactive links and spec-sheet PDFs — client-facing deliverables your staff produce and send. If a lead form on your own domain is your requirement, ask xix3D directly rather than taking our word for it.

Is Zeno's catalog bigger?

Yes, substantially: 1,500+ vehicles and 2,100+ vinyl and PPF options across 17 brands against our 250+ cars and 348 color-change films from 3M, Avery Dennison and KPMF. The only number that matters is whether the cars you wrap are in there — check both catalogs against your last 50 jobs.

Can I use both Zeno and WrapConfigurator?

Yes, and for a shop doing both printed graphics and color change it's the sensible answer. Zeno for design, PPF, tints and print files; the embed for turning your own website's traffic into build-attached quote requests. They barely overlap.

What about the free Avery Dennison visualizer?

It's free, it needs no sign-up, and it covers 130+ Supreme Wrapping Film colors. Genuinely useful — but it shows one manufacturer's film, it lives on Avery's website under Avery's brand, and it will not put a lead in your inbox — its "FIND AN INSTALLER" button points into Avery's own certified-installer directory, not at the design that visitor just built.

Do I need to be a designer to use this?

No. There's nothing to draw. A customer picks a car and a film and gets a render; you get the inquiry with the film code on it. If you need to design artwork, that's a design tool's job, not a configurator's.

Put it on your own site.

Free to start. One embed snippet. Every lead yours alone.
